Get started towards a path to better hearing and communication.

Our services

Our office is out-of-network with insurance and is considered a fee-for-service model. We accept digital payments through credit cards or debit cards collected at the time of service.

Although central auditory processing disorder (CAPD) is not typically diagnosed until around age 7, presentation of symptoms in younger children is evident, and testing with intervention is essential. There are several tests we can complete for children younger than age 7 (ages 4 and up) to suggest auditory processing deficits exist, and intervention is needed to strengthen the central auditory system. Additionally, CAPD can also occur in people with peripheral hearing loss. We can modify the test battery for people with hearing loss and ultimately, our goal is for increased satisfaction and increased speech understanding with hearing devices.

Consultation

A CAPD Consultation is completed to determine how suspected issues impact the quality of life for the patient and how do these issues manifest in daily life. We strive to get a comprehensive picture of the child or adult and will use this data to customize a unique test battery for the individual patient. A CAPD consultation is required prior to scheduling a CAPD evaluation or intervention services.

Services are rendered for children and adults with normal hearing or for adults with hearing loss.

Evaluation

A CAPD evaluation is completed and tailored to each client based on consultation, age, and additional information. Evaluations are completed remotely and require a quiet space for testing, wired stereo headphones or earbuds, and high-speed internet.

Following the detailed test battery, a report of findings is compiled to include information from your initial consultation, test findings, overall patterns in auditory deficits, steps to remediation and treatment strategies.

Accommodations for school-based environments are provided within the report for pediatric clients. Work-based accommodations are provided within adult reports.
