Auditory Processing and Patients with Hearing Loss

Better with hearing technology.

You’ve made the step towards better hearing, but you want to improve performance. You’ve invested in hearing aids, over-the-counter devices, or you may have received a cochlear implant, bone anchored devices, or other medical intervention.

With our approach, we dive into the individual listening needs of the client through a consultation with you and your family member. From there, we develop an individualized evaluation to cater the listening needs you’ve expressed. We also take a deeper look at how the brain processes different sounds through other tests to ensure we provide a thorough, accurate representation of how your unique brain processes sound.

From there, we develop a specific listening training program so you can improve satisfaction with your hearing devices across all of your areas of need.

We would be honored to help you in your hearing journey!

What would auditory training look like for someone with hearing loss?

Auditory training can look very different from person to person, because everyone’s hearing loss is not the same! Some people will need more help with identifying individual parts of sounds (phonemic training), while some may struggle to tolerate hearing in background noise or have difficulty extracting speech from background noise.

Auditory training sessions may last anywhere from 6-13 weeks on average and consist of 1 to 2 trainings per week. Sessions may be 30-60 minutes in length, depending on the severity of needs for each patient.

The evaluation and training sessions are completed over a HIPAA compliant-telehealth platform and are fun and relaxed.

How do I get scheduled?

Scheduling is simple!

Use my get started form to prompt an appointment, or have your provider fill out the HIPAA-compliant form linked on our provider page to prompt scheduling. You’ll need your latest hearing test with and without your devices as well as any provider office notes regarding your specific hearing devices and programs.

Take the step your future self (and your family) will thank you for. Looking forward to meeting you.
